Fishing Cape Cod
So we took a charter out today out on Cape Cod with Inthenetsporstfiahingcapecod.com charters with Captain Ben. It was a beautiful morning calm seas a little choppy for a little bit. He put us right on some fish right first thing this morning, where we were catching some sea Robbins, Seabass, some scup’s. It was a great time baby girl caught the first 2 at one time so of course. Captain Ben was using squid, squid is the most popular bait out here offshore fishing with some tube jigs jigging right off bottom about 30 feet of water. Later in the morning to get into some bigger Seabass he moved us to about 70 to 80 feet of water off a drift and in no time at all we were into keepers. At no time were we not into the Fish it was a good time, pulling up doubles, a lot of doubles at times, but the Seabass were very aggressive, and then on the way back, in we targeted some bluefish looking for the birds hovering around the bait and boy was that a fun time we got into a few of them and what an aggressive attack that the bluefish have. I would highly recommend if you’re ever out fishing on the Cape to look them up and get a charter with Captain Ben he does a real fine job and has a nice 25’ boat. He was already there at the dock prepared ready to go so that way we didn’t have to wait around at all. We jumped in the boat and on our way we went. It was a four hour charter. He took it right to the four hours, which is nice because a lot of other charters a lot of the times they take you out and your boating for an hour and then you fish for an hou, hour and a half maybe two and then they bring you back in. We were fishing within the first half hour and he had us fishing right up until 930 so I mean that’s pretty good for a charter. He’s a young guy making his way earning a reputation and we support him. Will definitely be going back again next year.
